The cycling ministry is a group of bicycling enthusiasts who are passionate about God. The goal and purpose of the group is to develop meaningful, Christ-centered relationships with those within the group and to also reach out and share the love of Christ with those outside the group through the opportunities that a Cycling ministry provides.
The Cycling ministry meets monthly from April through October for fellowship and encouragement. These meetings center around 'rides', where attenders can enjoy their hobby together, but also include food and conversation. Monthly, the group has a Road Ride. These are designed for adults and teens of various skill levels, and include a 5-8 mile 'short' ride, a 10-15 mile 'sport course', and a 20-25 mile 'long course'. On a regular basis, the group also hosts Family Rides. These are times of fellowship and enjoyment of God's creation. Anyone can be involved in the Family Rides, and each can go at their own pace. Spare bikes and helmets are available at both rides, but a reservation is neccessary. If anyone is interested in attending any of the rides, make a reservation by calling Jason Butler at 814-614-4059.
In order to be a light to the community by sharing the love of Jesus Christ, the Cycling ministry has started 'Wheels of Joy' to reach out to area familes and children in need during the Christmas season.
